Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Rahim”. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

Will you help fill the emptying shelves of Stittsville Food Bank and connect with our neighbours in the community, as it is the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to feed people in need?

For this purpose, Stittsville Muslim Association (SMA) is running a food drive to collect non-perishable food items AND also collect monetary donations to buy food supplies for the food bank. To fill an empty stomach is one of the best forms of charity, especially during this COVID-19 outbreak, where many people in the community are unable to work and thus unable to feed their families.

For $20 email transfer (send to [email protected]), we can help our neighbours who need food via the Stittsville Food bank, Insha’Allah (God Willing). You can also drop off non-perishable food items at one of the participating volunteer homes in a bin located at their porch. Please make sure food is not expired and unopened in good condition. Due by 9th May 2020.

Some suggested items include: rice, oil, kidney beans, tomato cans, chickpeas, lentils, pasta, cereal

Non-perishable food drop locations:

  • 789 Campolina Way
  • 358 Rouncey Rd
  • 330 Percheron Way
  • 260 Ponderosa Street
  • 29 Forestview Crescent
