Will you help fill the emptying shelves of Stittsville Food Bank and help feed those people in need?
For this purpose, Stittsville Muslim Association (SMA) is running a food drive to collect non-perishable food items AND collect monetary donations to buy Halal food supplies for the food bank. To fill an empty stomach is one of the best forms of charity, especially during the ongoing COVID outbreak, where many people in the community are unable to work and feed their families.
Please consider donating $20 (or whatever amount you can give) via email transfer (send transfer to [email protected] and put ‘food bank’ in the description).
You can also drop off non-perishable Halal food items at one of the participating volunteer homes (see below) in a bin located on their porch OR at the Musallah during Fajr, Isha or Jumuah, iA. Please make sure food is not expired, unopened and in good condition.
Please check this page for COVID-19 related updates.
