SMA Part Time Education Masha’Allah

Insha’Allah a variety of education for youth and children on weekends, weekdays after school, and holidays to meet faith nurturing needs of our community Alhumdulillah:

1) SMA Sana Saturday School at Westwind from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm

2) SMA Al Muhsineen Youth Leadership Development Program at SMA on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

3) SMA Sunday School Quran, Code, Craft from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

4) SMA Winter Camp

5) SMA March Camp

6) SMA Summer July and August Camp

7) SMA Eid and Special Workshops

8) Seasonal series workshops and education programs

About Us:

Running since 2019, SMA Part-time Education is evolving to meet community needs with various programs Masha’Allah, mainly led by volunteers, youth and part time educators. We use authentic curriculum approved by Islamic educational sources for our students. SMA Part Time Education volunteer Principal is Sr Farah, she has a Masters of Education (PME) from Queens University, Bachelor of Engineering from McMaster University, and is a Deen student with completed trainings in Quran and Islamic studies and has 15 years of education and non-profit experience in the Ottawa community non-profits. There are also site coordinators for programs such as Saturday school and camps, in addition to teaching staff, and youth volunteers or teaching assistants. All teaching and coordination, and volunteer staff at SMA PT Education are hired through an interview process after volunteering with SMA and selected as paid teachers based on qualification, and we are blessed to have several hufadh of the Quran on the team Masha’Allah. The SMA board oversees the financing for the programs and has a governance role.
